A Running Partner
I walked over to 10th and Broadway, where I met up with Kelly. We ran from there down to 17th and Baltimore- actually, we ran from there to 12th and Wyandotte and walked to 17th and Baltimore -and then ran from 17th and Baltimore up the hill to Broadway. That part was hell. We rounded off the walk, by continuing on to Summit and walking that back into downtown. It's excellent to have a running partner. It was excellent with Joel back in Midtown, and it's excellent with Kelly now. She's in much better shape than I'm in, but she's patient, and happy to just keep up the chatter and walk on.

Two words, my friend: bi cycle. Get one of thems and you got a buddy to ride with, a workout that is so much fun you don't notice it, a chance to explore the depths of urban neighborhoods and a great source of transportation.
So, hurry up already.

bahua brooked no delay in saying:
I have a bike. It needs some work, but one reason I'm not a more avid biker is because of my screwed up right leg. I broke it, six years ago, and it healed into a kind of screwy alignment, so when I ride my bike, I have to make a conscious effort to keep my right heel from accumulating black boogers of chain grease. After a while, I just kind of said, "to hell with it."

Jeff spoiled the calm with:
Pedal or push your bike over to River Market Cyclery for a tune-upper and you'll be set. The ride to Grinders is much quicker then the walk. Which gives you more time for drinking beer. Think about THAT.
