Um, why?
It's 11pm on a Saturday and I'm at work. In an hour I'll start performing dangerous maintenance on a bunch of computers that are worth more than my life, and that process data more valuable than Iraqi Oil interests. To celebrate, I got Arby's.

I just had, for the first time in my life, an Arby's roast beef sandwich. It was terrible! I mean it was ruinous! Why do people order these things? I anticipate

Anyway, I have work to do.

EDIT 12:23pm: That's what happens, folks, when you try to update your site during a network outage at work. I have no idea what I anticipated now, but I'll leave the incomplete thought there for posterity.

Cole was sure you'd want to know:
they really aren't any good. Arby's however shouldn't be driven out of existence because of two redeeming factors. The best and maybe only fast food curly fries, and the Jamocha shake. I don't know why they didn't just call it a mocha shake, but it's good.

you had a cheesey one. the regular roast beef's aren't too bad.

lion's choice in st louis is much better. they use medium to rare beer. [i meant beef. not beer. oops.]

I have to agree with Jeff. The regular ones aren't bad. The french dip is pretty good too, as is the Turkey sandwich.

When you were at 2020, we drove down to Arby's a couple times. I cant believe this is the first time you had the Roast beef.

thesmartone had this to say:
Hardee's also has the Curly Fries, but, Arby's are better.

Plus, Arby's is, in fact, different than all other fast food, as such, like Boston Market, and Chipotle, it should be maintained.

Cole took the time to say:
Oh, I guess if I would have gone to Hardee's at any point in the past 12 years I might have known they had curly fries. I was tempted to go to Carl's Jr. or whatever the west coast Hardee's is about 7 years ago. I think Jack in the Box won that fight, which may have been worse.

Brian brooked no delay in saying:
Don't hate on the Arby's. IMO, it's one of the few bastions against sameness in fast food. I like the roast beefs, especially the Super (comes with lettuce and tomato). The BBQ bacon is really good too.

Above all though, all hail the horsey sauce. Take the plain, nothing-on-it roast beef, add horsey, and you have delicious sandwich, in my estimation. Add more ingredients for even more fun!

Please, people, I'm not "hating on" Arby's. I'm just amazed that the product for which they hold themselves distinct is so terrible and bland. I love Arby's. I LOVE it. But what I love are the chicken sandwiches and market fresh sandwiches.
