Re: advertise

I'm sure you could hire an Intragram or TikTok microinfluencer to get the word out on the places you're selling. So since we’re talking influencers. Do you know what we call an influencer around selling homes? A realtor. You don’t pay a penny until the sell the home. The market is so frustratingly ...

know of any entities in the downtown area that have community boards where interested parties can post approved hard copy advertisements? Often found in grocery stores or such.
Why would you want to sell to people so cheap they frequent community boards?

Re: Postcards From the Edge of Time

There was a Palace branch store at The Landing at 63rd and Troost. Metcalf South (1967) opened three years after the owner retired (1964). The closest notable malls was Mission Center (1956) and Antioch Center (1956) 63rd and Troost wasn't more of less suburban in that era than those other location...

Re: OFFICIAL - The Continental Apartments (former Mark Twain Tower)

The UMB tower was not to have been over what is built, but built across the north end of the block, similar in footprint to the Commerce Bank building. Would have required demo of the old HSA building at the corner of 10th and Grand. With the current trend of rooftop signage would like to see the o...

Re: COVID19

Given the recent about face on the "get your vaccines, everyone!" messaging from the GOP/Fox News higher-ups, it looks like they have also worked through the math and came to a similar conclusion. That’s my thought. https://www.texastribune.org/2021/07/21/coronavirus-texas-vaccinated-deaths/ Texas ...

Re: advertise

You don’t. You hire a realtor to do it for you.

I know enough realtors to know that a lot of sales happen without a unit going on MLS. Talk to a realtor who knows the area and they will know multiple people looking who they will touch with immediately, before you could sign paperwork.

One thing we can figure from this is how many working age individuals died and is there a worker shortage. https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Provisional-COVID-19-Deaths-by-Week-Sex-and-Age/vsak-wrfu/data Retirement ages vary, so just going to use 65 to make the data easy to work with and their 15-24 range i...

Would be wonderful if MODOT pitched in to light rail. The funds may now exist for them to too I wouldn't count on it. The state constitution limits direct transit funding to a tiny percentage of auto state sales tax income the gas tax is majority for state projects it does share it with counties bu...

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?

If we get the World Cup games, I wonder how many developers try to rush and get hotels that they had planned done by summer 2026 for their grand-openings. None. You don't build a hotel for a week of room sales. An apartment building where rooms are temporarily sold as high end suites, that's entire...

Odd change, I’m curious about the reason for the the switch.

^That's another way to view it but I'm calculating relative to the 2019 level only, as relative to the dip isn't as useful info as to a previous state. Another definition of recovery is 'return to normal or previous state'. US is nearly 97% recovered to 2019 previous state. Return to Feb 2020 previ...

Re: Future Stadium Plans: Chiefs and Royals

The bus yard is as old as the airport and stadiums. I’m sure they could use a modern facility, especially with the rise of electric buses. Many of those industrial jobs have slowly started to move away and that land will get converted one day to a broader innovation and live work district under cur...

Re: Future Stadium Plans: Chiefs and Royals

My hot take I've always had to solve the "dormant stadium" problems is that they really should move the Negro Leagues Museum across the street from the stadium. Would probably be a nice deal for both Royals and NLBM because both the museum and stadium would share traction from it. And I'll make one...
