Yeah. I was under the impression they would be announcing their next project if not at the 3 light ground breaking than at least prior to end of year

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)

Collison is reporting that Amazon filed permits to open a brick and mortar store on the plaza in the soot formerly occupied by Tesla. It is likely a book store or “Amazon-4 star”.

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

Exactly. They’ve really adopted the Fox news model where they generate the news through controversial editorials and “reporting” that follows their established narrative in order to legitimize those takes. And then in a few years they will report on how successful and nice it is and pretend every th...

Arguments heard in court today on PD’s suit against the city. Not much new based on some reporters tweet coverage.

Judge expected to rule in 7 days time.
So it has obviously been more than 7 days. Did anything happen on this yet? Did i miss something?

40% work from home is incredible. Related to the discussion about needing to start building office to keep residential going… im curious if that paradigm holds post-WFH.

Womens Soccer going to Riverside. Kills that theory. I wonder if this sports training center still happens or if it dies now. Not sure who the tenant would be otherwise. I do like the idea of a soccer or futsal field at the River. Right? I wonder what that was about. https://www.bizjournals.com/kan...

The recall group was set up in the parking lot of the Old Westport shops collecting signatures. Everyone was wearing blue KCPD shirts.

Re: Westport

One thing that would improve Westport is if Kellys would make their street seating/bar area nicer and get rid of all the orange jersey barriers and chain link fences in the district. I am all for the outdoor seating and dont even mind the street closure, but it looks like garbage as is.

The main points are it should be easier to build housing AND we shouldn't build highways through the urban core.
Or the Fed Gov/whoever built the highway should be the one responsible for covering the cost to mitigate highway noise/pollution

By the way, canvassers came to my neighborhood yesterday for the Bunch recall. The news reported they have until Sept 7(?) to collect about needed signatures. They are about 1,000 short.

Re: $200M E Side Mixed-Use Project - 63rd/Prospect

I agree. This is a really important development for KC. Hopefully it doesnt take too long to get going.

Id say 18th and Vine is equal in importance, but since 18th and Vine already has had some investment- this project probably tops the list.
