The previous album of kickball pictures was getting a little too long, so I'm starting a new one with the new kickball season.
The team assembled for the first game of the year on a ridiculously frigid day.
Kelly and Brooks enjoyed the warmth at Grinders.
Chris and Jeff schemed for upcoming trips.
Erp sported a new 'do.
I didn't get any pictures of the actual game this week, but got a couple of the hijinks afterward.
Liana off her guard.
Heather decides on an entree.
Amber posed nicely.
Jeff wasn't having it though.
We finished the evening at the Stables on Walnut, with some cheap beer.
I decided to actually get some kickball pictures on the week of our first make-up game. Here are Brooks and Kelly.
Ben and Carly enjoy a pre-game what-have-you.
I pitched the odd innings, and chalked up the only earned runs. Jeff pitched the even ones and performed brilliantly.
Erp comfortably catches a fly ball.
Julie makes a force out at second. Not many people got past Julie that day.
A ball is pitched for nobody.
Kelly squeezes off a bunt.
Brooks lets the ball have it.
Chris waits for his pitch.
He gets it.
The other team's catcher returned the ball after Chris' RBI-invoking hit.
Jeff was on fire that day.
Carly proved to me that that day that she's a total thug, and a welcome addition to the team.
Ben was another very nice pickup.
Erp calmly makes it look easy.
The team looks forward to another 18-2 victory.
From another angle.
Julie touched base with friends.
Brooks surveyed us from an elevated position.
Ashley, who gave us a hand, sizes up a photo.
Kelly relishes the win.
Chris, in a picture that despite the haste with which I snapped it, is not blurry.
Julie and Ashley hit it off that day.
Then they got serious.
Since the only picture I got of Julie kicking came out really blurry, she insisted that I get a picture of her kicking something.
She chose the dugout's support beams.
