I travelled to Boise, ID in late May for a training session with work, and decided to get a couple of photos.
This is the view from our substandard hotel.
I took a cab into town, to get some photos, and this sign caught my eye.
They have a nice pedestrian area in their downtown.
In the center of the pedestrian area is this fountain, which I thought looked nice.
This is a view down Front street.
Here's a typical street corner in Boise.
I thought this was a pretty little corner of downtown.
Here's where decisions that affect Idaho's hundreds of thousands of people are made on a daily basis.
Here is the view of 6th and Bannock, from the Capitol lawn.
The Idaho Potato Commission is very close to the Capitol.
On our last night in Boise, Geoff and I hit the town, and wound up at a dueling pianos bar. I don't recall what was being played here, but Geoff and this lady did a fine chorus line.
This guy was very drunk, dropping hundreds on the bar and on the pianos.
Thing is, I was getting drunk too.
Geoff put in a request for "Any Rap Music," and when they read it aloud, the drunk guy came up to the stage and dropped another hundred on the pianos, if they would not play rap.
After throwing hundreds of dollars around, the drunk guy had the balls to argue about his bill with the waitress.
A little later in the night, some guy came up and sang, "Here I go Again," by Whitesnake. An attractive girl then went up to the dancefloor to bang her head. Geoff approved.
I approved too.
This is the group of us who went to El Gayo Giro, a Mexican restaurant in Kuna, ID, after training was complete, assembled for a group photo.
Here's another group photo.
Here is another group photo, this time from the other end of the table.
Here are Glenn, his wife, Robert, a COTA, and Wes, having some kind of good time.
I do like me some Tecate.
But sometimes it doesn't like me.
CSM Dodson enjoyed himself.
Before long, tequila made its way around the table. Geoff "treated" me to a shot. I almost threw up.
Just like every time Darryl goes out to eat, it was his birthday.
The staff all came and sang to him for his birthday.
Dan wasn't really spiking his horchata, honest! Ha!
Here's a Manchu shot, among many others that happened that night.
Then, I made a valiant but failed attempt to finish my second Tecate.
