you people better not be trying to steal my running partner with a bike. I need this damn it!

by the way, arrangements will have to be made when i move up north, cause running downtown is my favorite...maybe an after work thing @ 5:30ish will work best. how do you feel about monday and/or tuesday?

Pedal or push your bike over to River Market Cyclery for a tune-upper and you'll be set. The ride to Grinders is much quicker then the walk. Which gives you more time for drinking beer. Think about THAT.

I have a bike. It needs some work, but one reason I'm not a more avid biker is because of my screwed up right leg. I broke it, six years ago, and it healed into a kind of screwy alignment, so when I ride my bike, I have to make a conscious effort to keep my right heel from accumulating black boogers of chain grease. After a while, I just kind of said, "to hell with it."

Two words, my friend: bi cycle. Get one of thems and you got a buddy to ride with, a workout that is so much fun you don't notice it, a chance to explore the depths of urban neighborhoods and a great source of transportation.

So, hurry up already.

Weight loss isn't really my goal. My goal is to get in shape and be healthier. That said, I've done an abyssmal job staying motivated with the deliberate exercise. One interesting thing, though, is that my gut has been diminishing a bit.

Ironically, the only piece of this whole thing that I've stuck to the entire time is the diet. But, as you know, I don't believe diets are even remotely as effective as exercise, for getting/staying healthy.

It's hot out. I'll have a sweatfest this afternoon, when I get home.

That's totally weird. I was just looking at these, unrelated to your post.

They're called a Drip Tray.

And the shiny thingy the beer comes out of (which is really the most glorious part of the whole rig) is called the faucet.

The "entertainment center" is one of the most unfortunately named pieces of furniture in existence. It's just a pine modular shelving unit that happens to fit a television on it. When Jeff moves in, he'll have his own, custom-made for his massive TV, which will free up the crappy one I bought for $40 at Costco when I first moved to KC. There will be no television in the apartment, outside the living room.

Well, luckily for me, all I did, the next day, was ride the bus, drink one beer, and have a hamburger. Not exactly an expensive Saturday. I was invited to go out, but never did, partially for fear of the shallowing of the pockets, but mostly because I just couldn't keep my eyes open.

Yeah, I took a good sized financial setback that night too. I imagine John is worse off than we are now. I suppose it was worth it, but I started wishing really hard I still had that money when I walked through the brookside art fair saturday. Not that it could have bought me much.

I woke up at 6am, got up, and went to sit in my boring air conditioned beige cubicle for 9 hours while peeking outside at the blissfuly-lovely sunny 80 degree day and where the fire alarm went off at 2 with an ear-piercing screech. Half the office can no longer hear.

Have fun golfing. I hope you get sunburnt.

We need to check-up on the Drum Room; see if they've worked the kinks out.

What? 9 bars and 10 hours? Thats all the words that this thing gets? I had fun, up until the part where we were waiting around for a taxi and then decided to walk. Although it got more fun once I started getting hailed on while walking through a muddy construction site. I saw some security looking guy running in my direction, and then sirens followed. I had the silly idea for a minute that security was on the ball and coming after me. It was scenic, and relaxing in a fight club kind of way. As resigned to my fate as I was, I didn't encounter anyone, except for the people a few floors up above having a party. It made me go home and get my camera and run around downtown smoking cigarettes and taking pictures. I suppose it's because I was still drunk, but I've never felt more safe and at home at 12 in the morning wandering around downtown with my camera. It was fun.

so yeah, enough about me. I liked meeting everyone. except for that one guy who tried to sell me "nosecandy" at harlings. I think going places during the day in a big group is a good idea. We were accomodated. 12 was actually a pretty good number. Much more and we probably would have needed to split into teams.
actually, i don't feel like typing anymore. you can maybe tell by the lack of capitalization.
